Best Time to Visit
☀️ Pre-Monsoon/Summer (April-June): A popular time to visit with pleasant temperatures, clear
skies, and blooming rhododendrons. Ideal for trekking and mountaineering.
☀️ Post-Monsoon/Autumn (September-November): Another excellent time to visit with crisp air, clear
views, and fewer crowds. Perfect for trekking and enjoying the stunning autumn colors.
❄️ Winter (December-March): Heavy snowfall can close high-altitude passes and restrict access to
some areas. This is a challenging time to visit but offers a unique experience for those prepared for
winter conditions.
🌧️ Monsoon (July-August): Heavy rainfall can disrupt travel plans and restrict outdoor
activities. Landslides and floods are possible in some areas. It's best to avoid visiting during the
monsoon season.
Day 01
Arrival NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok
On arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport, transfer to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). Check-in to your hotel
and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 02
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast, start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) and Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.), located
55 km one way from Gangtok city. Overnight stay at Gangtok. (In case Tsomgo Lake is closed due to
landslides or other reasons, alternate sightseeing will be provided.)
Day 03
Gangtok Local Sightseeing – Darjeeling
Start the day with a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok covering Flower Show, Cottage Industry &
Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery, and Banjakhri Falls
(maximum 3-4 hours). In the afternoon, drive to Darjeeling (6,950 ft.). Check-in to your hotel on
arrival. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 04
Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning (at 04:00 am), drive to Tiger Hill (8,400 ft.) for a spectacular sunrise view over Mt.
Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft., the world’s 3rd highest peak). On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and
Batasia Loop. After breakfast, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on
Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view),
Ropeway, and Japanese Temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at
Darjeeling.
Day 05
Departure from Darjeeling
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and take the departure transfer to NJP Railway Station / IXB
Airport for your onward journey. Tour ends.
