Best Time to Visit
☀️ Spring (March-May): A pleasant time to visit with blooming rhododendrons, clear skies, and
comfortable temperatures, ideal for sightseeing and exploring the tea gardens.
🍂 Autumn (September-November): Another excellent time to visit with crisp air, clear views, and
fewer crowds. Perfect for enjoying the stunning autumn colors and trekking.
❄️ Winter (December-February): Experience snowfall and enjoy the winter charm of Darjeeling.
However, some roads and attractions might be closed due to heavy snowfall.
🌧️ Monsoon (June-August): Heavy rainfall can disrupt travel plans and restrict outdoor
activities. Landslides are possible in some areas. It's best to avoid visiting during the monsoon
season.
Day 01
Arrival NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok
On arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport, transfer to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). Check-in to your hotel
and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 02
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast, start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) and Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.), located
55 km one way from Gangtok city. Overnight stay at Gangtok. (In case of a landslide or other reasons,
alternate sightseeing will be provided.)
Day 03
Gangtok – Pelling via Chardham
After breakfast, start your journey to Pelling (6,300 ft.), covering a distance of 150 km. Enroute, visit
Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse, and Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham) in Namchi. Upon arrival, check-in to your
hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 04
Pelling Sightseeing
After breakfast, begin your full-day sightseeing tour. The first half of the day includes a visit to
Darap village, Rimbi Waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake, and Khangchendzongha Waterfalls. In the afternoon,
visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, and the New Helipad Ground. Overnight stay at
Pelling.
Day 05
Pelling – Darjeeling
After breakfast, proceed for a transfer to Darjeeling (6,950 ft.), covering a distance of 80 km via
Singla check post. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 06
Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning (at 04:00 am), drive to Tiger Hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt.
Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft., the world’s 3rd highest peak). On your way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and
Batasia Loop. After breakfast, visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on
Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view),
Ropeway, and Japanese Temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at
Darjeeling.
